Oracle to acquire Sun Microsystems, it is expected that Oracle will acquire Sun Microsystems common stock for $9.50 per share in cash. The transaction amount would translate into a whooping $7.4 billion. Oracle and Sun have been partners for over 20 years now and this acquisition is a welcome sign for both the industry pioneers.
This is the largest and the best acquisition by Oracle by far.
